Story

Thanks for taking the time to read my just giving page.
On Saturday 11th of June we will be taking part in the Pilgrims Hospice’s Pilgrims challenge. Walking 55km from Wye to Canterbury and then onto Dover across the North downs and hoping to raise some much needed funds for The Pilgrims Hospice.
Pilgrims Hospices receive and annual NHS contribution of approximately 20% which is reviewed annually. The remaining costs have to be generated through fundraising and donations.
Pilgrims Hospices care for people with illnesses that cannot be cured and help them live well in every moment of their journey. These illnesses include heart failure, respiratory conditions and neurological diseases. Their support is extended to families and carers, even after the loved one has died.
An estimated 30% of people who die in East Kent every year are cared by them either in a hospice or at home.
To keep delivering care to those who need utmost, we need to help raise more than 11 million each year.
As most of you are aware, the Pilgrims Hospice looked after my darling Dad in January 2019 until he died and they made the whole ordeal so much easier for us.
We are forever in their debt and will continue to fundraise for them with the help of family and friends. Your support does not go unnoticed. X
