Story

So as a lot of you are aware, I’ve been doing my best to train for the London to Brighton Ultra Challenge taking place tomorrow 😅

Saturday morning 29th of May I will be setting off with my pal Brian and our backpacks and walking 100km continuously from Richmond in London to Brighton.
This is one hell of a hike and at about 3am we will be heading up the South Downs by headlight stumbling on tree roots, knocking our shins on stiles and I expect a few tumbles from myself 🙄.
There is no time limit but I’m hoping to have completed it by Sunday afternoon. This is not not just a physical challenge but a mental one too.
Going to squeeze in as many walks as we can for the next 2 weeks and then rest our feet for a few days before the challenge.

At its heart, Pilgrims is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate care, free of charge, to people living with an incurable illness in east Kent. Their vision is that people with a life-limiting illness are supported and empowered to live well in mind & body, making the most of the time they have. They care for over 2,500 patients a year, at their 3 inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet & Ashford, their therapy centres, or in patients’ own homes. With 80% of their funding being voluntary contributions, your support cannot be overstated.

Pilgrims helps people facing a terminal diagnosis, and their families, to live well in every moment.

They receive an annual NHS contribution of approximately 20% which is reviewed each year. The remaining costs have to be generated through fundraising and donations.

That is why once again I’m asking for your help to support this wonderful charity. Any donation from a pound to 10 pound all add up and make a difference

Much love
